Actor, author and the John Wayne look-alike and impersonator Ermal Walden Williamson has
dedicated his career to keeping the image of John Wayne alive, appearing in Coors Light
and just about anything one could think of as John Wayne. When he appears, people stand
up and cameras appear. "He's the Duke!" they'd yell out. Ermal is the recipient of the 2003
IGCITA Best Male Impersonator of the Year Award in Las Vegas and is presently performing a
one man show in Branson, Missouri as The Duke and Gary Cooper both in "Memories with John Wayne
and Gary Cooper"."John Wayne-American" in Western or military wardrobe. He has more
wardrobes than Madonna wears in a day for performances. All of them are similar to Duke's
original wardrobes which he wore in many of his pictures. He travels equipped with a portable
projector and screen which he uses to enhance his performances. Ermal has also authored three
Western novels which are released and selling on www.amazon.com and bookstores across the
country, "Across The Brazos" "The Man From The Brazos" and "Call of the Brazos".
His third novel, "Call of the Brazos", is ready for publication, and he is feverishly working
on his fourth, "Spirit of the Brazos".
This site is dedicated to keeping the Spirit of the Old West and the Memory of John Wayne,
the Duke, alive. He has made two documentary movies in Monument Valley and in Hollywood on
the lives of John Wayne and John Ford, respectively. He has ridden in many Rose Parades as
well as others around the country as John wayne. Think of something you would enjoy seeing
John Wayne do, and chances are, he has done them. And yes, he rode his horse through John
Wayne's house in Newport Beach.
Ermal says, "I hope you enjoy this site and the following pages as much as I have enjoyed
portraying the Duke over my long acting career."
